Stafford Smith

Bullit Films

Owner/Senior Manager

Without exception, Stafford has demonstrated a great deal of sincere interest and enthusiasm in our project, our client, and us as an agency. He always goes out of his way to make sure we are happy with the results.

Stafford knows the business; he has a broad range of experience and contact. He meets deadlines, is fairly priced, hardworking, personable, organized, and otherwise professional in his dealings. As you can see, our experiences with Stafford have been only positive.

I recommend him for your upcoming project.

For 10 Years or so, I have known and worked with Stafford Smith. We have worked together on several television commercials and campaigns, I from the advertising agency as copywriter, creative director, and agency producer: Stafford in a variety of capacities including producer, production manager, and location scout.

Stafford has always been a pleasure to work with, and fulfills his responsibilities efficiently and professionally. And, I might add, with style.

I hope to work with Stafford again in the future, and will continue to recommend his services to others.

I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for the incredible job you did on the Blue Cross/Blue Shield television campaigns. It seems you have a magic touch! Everything we do together exceeds my expectations, and damn if you didn’t do it again. The result was a particularly impressive because of the potential for disaster. Think about it.

We had a 70-year-old man playing football with his grand kids. When there was a talent ;mix-up and the grandkids didn’t show, somehow you managed to make an entirely new cast appear within about 45 minutes. At the last minute, we decided to do a picnic setup for the dialogue, which you pulled together on the spur of the moment (it was delicious, by the way). No complaining. No Grumbling. You just did it. Then we went to another location and filmed a dance class with 25 eight-year-olds of multiple races (which you managed to find in white-bread Utah with less than 24-hours notice). All shot on the same day!

And that was the easy spot. We did two more just like it. And somehow you managed to come in on time and on budget (Although I had a feeling everyone made money but the producer! You work too hard).

I hope you never realize how good you truly are. You’d cost us a fortune. Thanks for the great work.

Sincerely,
C. Michael Foster

It is a pleasure for me to write this letter and reference for Stafford Smith. I have known Stafford personally and professionally since 1981. Since that time, we have worked together on a large number of projects and produced a wide variety of finished products. Each time we work together the end result for me is always the same – complete satisfaction! Stafford’s loyalty, trustworthiness, dependability, attention to detail and quality of work are things that I always count on.

Stafford’s background and history in set design and construction has proven invaluable. When producing programs that require extensive set construction I always rely on Stafford’s ability to oversee that phase of a projects. At the same time, he is proficient at producing projects requiring intense logistical management. Whether it is managing a location, coordinating crew and equipment or casting and arranging talent, Stafford always comes through.

Stafford also has a unique and greatly appreciated ability to manage a production budget effectively. His ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors has earned him my respect. More often than not, we’ve come in on-time and under budget, two tasks I’ve thanked him for time and time again.

Please feel free to contact me regarding Stafford at any time for a positive referral. I’ll look forward to a call.
